Job summary

Socket.dev in Ohio is seeking a Data Analyst to design and maintain data systems, fix data problems, and draft documentation. You will interpret data sets with statistical techniques to support diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts in a QC environment.

Responsibilities include building data collection systems, acquiring data from sources, identifying trends, cleaning data, and presenting findings to management. GMP awareness is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• BS or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Three years in quality control, QA, clinical lab, tissue banking, or pharma/manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
• Technical expertise in data models, database design, data mining, segmentation.
• Knowledge of data visualization software (Power BI) and databases (SQL).
• Statistics knowledge and use of Excel, SPSS, or SAS for data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to produce clear, accurate findings.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and interprets data for QC, analyzes results, and reports findings.
• Develops and implements databases and data collection systems to improve efficiency.
• Acquires data from primary/secondary sources and maintains databases.
• Identifies trends or patterns in complex data sets for diagnostic insights.
• Cleans data by reviewing reports to locate and fix code problems.
• Collaborates with management to prioritize business and information needs.
• Locates and defines new process improvement opportunities.
• Functions as a QC Inventory Control Specialist.
• Performs related duties within scope of practice.
