Job summary

nVent is seeking a PPAP/APQP-focused professional in Minnesota to coordinate production part approvals across programs. You will work with Engineering, Supplier Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing and suppliers to gather, validate and maintain PPAP documentation and trackers.

You will develop KPIs, dashboards, and status reports, drive standardization of PPAP processes, and communicate risks and milestones to cross-functional teams and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Academic background in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field.
  • Experience with PPAP and APQP in supplier quality or manufacturing.
  • Cross-functional project coordination and supplier management.
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, and MS Office proficiency.
  • Data analysis and KPI reporting experience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage PPAP activities across multiple programs, ensuring on-time submissions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supplier Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
  • Develop and monitor PPAP project trackers and document control throughout the lifecycle.
  • Support PPAP submission planning, timing, follow-up, and issue resolution.
  • Identify risks and communicate impact on quality, timing, or program success.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and reporting tools to measure performance and readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement by standardizing PPAP tracking and data accuracy.
  • Provide regular project updates to cross-functional teams and leadership.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION
  • Coordinate and manage PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities across multiple programs, ensuring on-time and compliant submissions and approvals.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supplier Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, and suppliers to collect, validate, and maintain PPAP-related documentation and requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor PPAP project trackers, ensuring accurate status reporting, milestone tracking, and document control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support supplier PPAP submission planning, timing, follow-up, and issue resolution to meet project launch and customer requirements.
  • Monitor PPAP readiness and proactively identify, communicate, and elevate risks that may impact quality, timing, or program success.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and reporting tools to measure PPAP performance, supplier responsiveness, approval rates, and overall project readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by standardizing PPAP tracking processes, improving data accuracy, and supporting automation and digitalization efforts.
  • Provide regular project updates and performance reporting to cross-functional teams and Supplier Quality leadership.
YOU HAVE
  • Academic background in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Previous experience in or with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing environments.
  • Cross-functional project coordination and supplier management.
  • Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Data analysis, KPI reporting, and dashboard development.
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands.
  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to occasionally walk production floors and supplier facilities.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will comply with a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range: $23.90 - $44.40 Per Hour. Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
