Job summary

Valley Children’s Healthcare in Madera, CA is seeking a Quality Coordinator RN to advance hospital quality and patient safety initiatives. Qualifications

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Associate degree in a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Minimum five (5) years of related healthcare experience.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience with healthcare regulations, including The Joint Commission (TJC), California Title 22, and other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience interpreting and presenting data to support quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support the organization's quality, patient safety, and performance improvement programs.
  • Facilitate and coordinate performance improvement initiatives across departments.
  • Analyze quality and clinical performance data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Support medical staff, nursing, and interdisciplinary peer review processes.
  • Partner with leaders and frontline teams to investigate quality concerns and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Provide education and consultation on quality improvement methodologies and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with monitoring patient experience and quality outcomes to improve the care provided to patients and families.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Quality Coordinator RN, you will play a key role in advancing the hospital's quality and patient safety initiatives. In this role, you will:

Required Qualifications

Preferred
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
  • Previous experience in healthcare quality, performance improvement, or quality management.
Schedule:

Full-time | 40 hours/week | Day Shift | Exempt

Hybrid Work Opportunity:

Following successful completion of orientation and achievement of independent practice—typically at approximately six months of employment—the selected candidate may have the opportunity to work remotely 1–2 days per week, based on business needs and department approval. Regular onsite presence is required for meetings, education, collaboration, and quality improvement activities. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the facility.

Compensation:

$57.29–$81.72 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
