Job summary

Stephen Gould seeks a Quality Coordinator to maintain the company’s quality management system (QMS) and ensure products, processes, and services meet internal and regulatory standards.

Based at our Whitestown, IN facility, you will update SOPs, support internal audits, track NCRs and CAPAs, coordinate supplier quality with procurement, and partner across production, engineering and quality leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; bachelor's preferred.
• 1-3 years in quality assurance or manufacturing.
• ISO 9001:2015 expertise.
• Internal auditing: planning, conducting, reporting, follow-up.
• Document control and compliance management.
• CAPA and 8D problem solving.
• Strong communication and diplomacy.
• Travel to Midwest locations about 4 times a year.
• Whitestown, IN facility—Mon-Fri 8am-5pm when not traveling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update quality documentation (SOPs, forms, training materials).
• Support internal audits; prepare schedules and gather docs.
• Monitor NCRs, CAPAs, and follow-up for timely closure.
• Coordinate supplier quality issues with procurement.
• Assist in root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Track quality metrics and prepare leadership reports.
• Support training on quality processes.
• Ensure ISO or other quality standards compliance.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, efficiency.
• Serve as liaison between production, engineering, operations, and quality leadership.

Position Summary:

The Quality Coordinator supports the company's quality management system (QMS) by maintaining documentation, monitoring compliance, and coordinating quality-related activities across departments. This role helps ensure products, processes, and services meet internal standards as well as customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update quality documentation including SOPs, work instructions, forms, and training materials.
• Support internal audits by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and assisting auditors.
• Monitor nonconforming material reports (NCRs), corrective actions (CAPAs), and follow-up activities to ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate supplier quality issues and work with the procurement team to gather data or documentation as needed.
• Assist in root cause analysis and problem-solving sessions.
• Track quality metrics and prepare weekly/monthly reports for leadership.
• Support training initiatives related to quality processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards or other industry-specific quality requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Serve as a liaison between production, engineering, operations, and quality leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing, or related areas.
• ISO 9001: 2015 expertise
• Internal auditing skills- planning, conducting reporting and following up on audits; familiarity with audit checklists and sampling.
• Document control & compliance: Managing procedures, work instructions, records, and revision control.
• Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA): Root cause analysis, 8D, and effectiveness verification.
• Communication & diplomacy: Ability to interview auditees, explain findings, and influence without authority.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Travel-Able to travel to other Midwest locations 4 times a year.
• Must be able to work out of the Whitestown, IN facility Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm when not traveling.

Nice to have but not required:

• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification (Lead Auditor is a strong plus for supplier audits).

Familiarity with risk assessment tools (FMEA, SWOT) and process KPIs.

• PPAP experience: Ability to review and support Production Part Approval Process documentation and submissions
• Food/bev: GMP, HACCP
• Medical: ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820.
