Job summary

APPLIED AEROSPACE STRUCTURES CORP. is seeking a QA professional in Stockton, CA to manage internal audits, support corrective actions, and oversee QA documentation within the QMS. The role reports to the Quality Assurance Director and requires strong office skills.

Responsibilities include auditing production processes, assisting with ITAR-aligned activities, and coordinating with Operations and the Material Test Lab to ensure compliance and readiness for internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and full Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• Database management experience is a plus.
• Experience in an office environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate internal audits per AS9100 schedule.
• Support/Chair the Corrective Action Board under the QA Director.
• Manage QA system documents revisions in the QMS database.
• Oversee testing cycles performed by Operations (SAT).
• Review Calibration Certification of Compliance per PO requirements.
• Scan Work Orders to support archival initiatives.
• Perform FOD audits to support quality objectives.
• Audit Work Orders in a production environment.
• Support Material Test Lab daily sample pickup and results distribution.
• Assist with 3rd party audits as required by the QA Director.

Provides essential organizational oversight of coordinated efforts for Quality Assurance initiatives supporting AS9100, Nadcap, and the Material Test Lab.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Manage and coordinate internal audits per AS9100 schedule.
• Supports/Chairs Corrective Action Board under the leadership of the Director of Quality Assurance.
• Manages Business System document revisions and additions in the Quality Management System database.
• Provide oversight and routine approval of testing cycles performed by Operations (SAT).
• Perform Calibration Certification of Compliance review and approval per PO requirements.
• Scan Work Orders to support archive initiatives.
• Perform FOD audits in support of Quality Objectives.
• Perform Work Order audits in a production work environment.
• Support Material Test Lab daily test sample pick up and results distribution.
• Supports 3 rd Party audits as required by the Director of Quality Assurance.

GENERAL:

• Strong computer skills, with knowledge of full Microsoft Office suite a must. Database management a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
• Experience in an office environment is preferred.
• Reports to the Quality Assurance Director
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
