Job summary

Applied Aerospace in Stockton, CA is seeking a Supervising Technician to lead work area teams and ensure production quality. The role involves directing daily assignments, coordinating with PMs/ME’s, and maintaining schedules while controlling costs. You will supervise safety, training, and performance, optimize labor use, and shift personnel as needed.

ITAR eligibility is required; U.S. person status may apply.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate Degree or its equivalent with 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
• Strong supervisory skills.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and team orientation.
• Have good computer and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs work area technicians, including daily assignments, meetings, discipline, training, vacation scheduling, and time-keeping.
• Coordinate with PMs, MEs, and Production Coordinators to maintain production schedules and quality.
• Ensure planning and resources (materials and personnel) are available to support production.
• Assign tasks and explain procedures; train and coach technicians on assigned tasks.
• Identify resources needed to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Ensure work area safety and housekeeping.
• Shift technicians to other work areas per PM's request.
• Maximize labor efficiency and productivity.

Overview Of Position
Supervise work area technicians to achieve the efficient use of labor and the maintenance of product quality.
Essential Job Functions

• Directs work area technicians include daily assignments, meetings, discipline, training, vacation scheduling, and time and attendance system accuracy.
• Working with PM’s and ME’s and Production Coordinators to ensure that production schedules and quality standards are maintained.
• Works with ME’s Production Coordinators to ensure that planning and resources (materials and personnel) are available to support production.
• Assign tasks and explain procedures to technicians. Trains and coaches’ technicians on assigned tasks.
• Identify resources needed to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Responsible for work area safety issues and housekeeping.
• Shifts technicians to other work areas depending on project requirements per PM’s request.
• Maximizes labor efficiency and productivity.
