Job summary

AVL Manufacturing USA in Charlotte, NC seeks a Quality Coordinator to ensure compliance with purchase orders, customer and product specifications, and standard industrial guidelines. Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in an ISO manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with ISO 9001, AWS D1.1/CSA W47.1 and AWS D1.1/W59.
  • Scheduling, documenting, and technical support to Engineers is an asset.
  • Must be able to work close tolerances and should be able to lift 50lb.

Responsibilities

  • Inspections of fabrication welds and understanding of AWS/CWB welding processes.
  • Ensure that all quality requirements and documentation are complete for projects, including quality-related data collection and record keeping.
  • Assists in troubleshooting problems during inspection activities and recommends corrective action to resolve issues.
  • Assists in maintenance and improvement of the ISO quality system required.
  • Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) testing techniques such as Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) & Liquid Particle Inspection (LPI).
  • Daily communication with all departments regarding quality issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic measuring devices and equipment and solid mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prepare non-conformance reports neatly and accurately.

About the Role

The Quality Coordinator is primarily responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure compliance with purchase orders, customer and product specifications, and standard industrial guidelines. Additional primary responsibilities include maintaining the calibrations and non-conformance process.
