Responsibilities

• Assist with test ordering, results reporting, and communication with nursing, physicians, and external labs.
• Maintain laboratory logs, temperature records, and documentation for quality and compliance purposes.
• Support laboratory inventory by ordering supplies, tracking usage, and maintaining stock levels.
• Monitors instrument maintenance schedules and service requests.
• Assist with preparation for regulatory surveys and inspections (e.g., CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission).
• Trains and orients new lab support staff in workflows and procedures.
• Participates in quality assurance activities and process improvement initiatives.
• Ensures laboratory policies, procedures, and safety practices are followed.

• Assists with test ordering, result reporting, and communication with nursing, physicians, and external labs.
• Maintains laboratory logs, temperature records, and documentation for quality and compliance purposes.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technician program preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting required.
• Experience in laboratory operations, quality tracking, or administrative coordination preferred.
