Job summary
OBE is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to focus on process observations, audits, and inspections of fabricated metal building products (doors, frames, skylights, curtainwall). This role suits a self-starter with attention to detail, owning issues end-to-end as a key member of the Quality Department.
You will analyze data, drive root-cause actions, and partner with operators to close MDRs and nonconforming material decisions, while helping modernize inspection documentation and tracking
Qualifications
- Experience with QA audits and inspections of metal building products
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports
- Experience with nonconforming material decisions
- Experience with ERP/quality systems
- Blueprint-reading for doors/frames, curtainwall, or glazing
Responsibilities
- Own MDR investigation and resolution
- Monitor daily processes and conduct quality audits
- Assist with internal quality issues
- Analyze process data to create improvement reports
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Make accept/reject decisions on nonconforming material
- Modernize quality inspection documentation
- Coordinate tracking of rejected orders and MDRs
- Share best practices with campus quality team
