Job summary

Geoquest USA, Inc. in LaBelle, FL is seeking a Quality Control Technician for our precast facility. You will inspect, test, and ensure manufactured products meet quality standards, reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor.

The role requires hands-on concrete experience, knowledge of FDOT/NPCA requirements, ability to read casting drawings, and strong English communication. Light lifting and flexibility are expected as part of QA/QC duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with concrete; precast preferred.
• ACI certifications listed are a plus (Field Technician 1, Aggregate Technician 1, Concrete Strength Testing Technician).
• Knowledge of FDOT and NPCA requirements for precast products to ensure compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret casting drawings and read tape measurements accurately.
• Clear communication of corrective actions; pass certification tests.
• Ability to work in varying weather and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Professional business-level English communication.

Responsibilities

• Test concrete samples to ensure compliance.

• Monitor product strength and determine corrective actions.
• Inspect various FDOT precast products.
• Communicate findings with supervisor for corrections.

We perform all duties associated with our jobs from sales, marketing, civil engineering/design, supply, and construction support. Geoquest USA, Inc. is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician for its LaBelle, FL Precast Facility. The QC Technician shall report to the Quality Control Supervisor and will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring that manufactured products comply with all quality requirements. This position requires the employee to perform a wide range of QA/QC functions as noted herein.

Requirements/Education/Skill

• Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience with concrete, precast preferred
• Must have ACI Concrete Field Technician 1. ACI Aggregate Technician 1, ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician and NPCA PQS 1 are all a plus
• Ability to read and understand FDOT and NPCA requirements for precast products to ensure compliance
• Ability to read and interpret Casting Drawings
• Understanding of basic geometry and able to read tape measurements accurately
• Ability to communicate corrective measures effectively, and able to pass certification tests
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to communicate in both written and verbal formats of English at a professional business level
• Ability to obtain knowledge of company products, policies and procedures in timely manner
• Self-motivated with the ability to work a flexible schedule

Work Environment / Physical Demands

• Responsibilities will be carried out in both a traditional office environment under traditional office conditions and in both indoor and outdoor manufacturing facilities.
• Must be able to coordinate or lead employees among different levels of the organization.
• Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
• May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels in facilities being managed or coordinated.
• Able to wear personal protective clothing for prolonged periods; Safety helmet with chinstrap, safety shoes, eye protection, hand protection and hearing protection (as required).
