Geoquest USA, Inc. seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for our Port La Belle, FL operations. You will lead maintenance staff, ensure safe practices, develop schedules, and oversee preventive maintenance of production equipment in an industrial setting.

You will coordinate vendor contracts, manage budgets, track inventory, and drive continuous improvement of mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing, machine operation and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans and drawings.
• Experience with powered equipment and heavy machinery.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The company provides the design and supply of materials of proprietary retaining wall systems and earth related technologies to contractors and owners for use in civil engineering. Our company works as a sub-contractor/material supplier on DOT and privately owned projects. We perform all duties associated with our jobs from sales, marketing, civil engineering/design, supply, and construction support.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Establish and maintain safe work procedures and practices
• Develop and implement schedule for regular maintenance and upkeep of property
• Develop implement and oversee the preventative maintenance of equipment for reliability and effectiveness.
• Research and implement best practices for facility maintenance and repairs.
• Development and implement audit programs for mechanical systems.
• Schedule and assign tasks to staff with oversite.
• Manage maintenance staff, which includes schedules, training, coaching and development.
• Ensures maintenance team complies with all relevant regulations and policies.
• Develop and maintain critical parts list for key equipment/mechanical systems.
• Coordinate and administer vendor contracts for service, repair and parts.
• Oversee inventory of tools and parts needed to conduct a preventative maintenance program.
• Maintain maintenance record through an electronic program
• Provide regular reports on planning and completion of maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor and optimize costs to meet budgetary goals
• Work with team to develop and improve SOP’s for critical tasks.
• Prepare and provide maintenance budget requests.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations/guidelines.
• Apply knowledge of new technology and industry trends to improve maintenance program and equipment’
• Any other reasonable task assigned by their superior.

Education And Experience

• Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 3+ years supervisory or 5+ years leadership experience in an industrial environment.
• Associate degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Production. Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position Knowledge/Skills/Ability
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Working knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing, machine operation and general maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate resources to meet objectives and managements expectations.
• Ability to read and teach how to read technical plans and drawings
• Experience in proper use of powered equipment, tools and heavy/light machinery.
• Knowledge of company product, policies and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and management skills.
• Demonstrate successful application of managerial and supervisory skills.
• Demonstrate problem solving skills.
• Strong analytical and mathematical ability.
• Ability to operate a computer and supporting software packages.

Work environment

Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Must be able to lift and move up to 75 Lbs. Frequent Walking/Standing (6+ hrs/day).
