Job summary

Opal Foods Cooperative Inc is hiring for a full-time QC Technician/Packer at the Roggen, CO processing plant. The role combines quality control of eggs to meet USDA/customer specs with packing duties for cartons/flats, ensuring proper labeling and packaging and adherence to HACCP/GMP standards.

The position requires English literacy, attention to detail, and a team-oriented approach, with flexibility for weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Follow all Opal Foods Policies and Procedures including Safety, Bio-security, FDA, SQF, HACCP and GMP.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to complete tasks efficiently and communicate in English.
• Team player with ability to adapt to change and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-op sanitation inspection.
• Monitor and record condition of nest run product.
• Monitor and record condition of finished product.
• Verify labeling and packaging of finished product.
• Verify and record operating parameters of processing equipment per HACCP and GMP.
• Monitor sanitation conditions of facility during processing.
• Maintain test instruments and supplies.
• Rotate on different lines of egg packing equipment.
• Assist with end-of-shift cleanup.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
