Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH Company, is seeking a QC Technician to maintain product quality daily by collaborating with Plant Engineer, Sales, and Production. You will inspect, test, and document quality across multiple products with meticulous attention to detail.

The role involves Pre- and Post-Pour inspections, leading QA activities, and training staff in QC requirements. This position is non-exempt and based at our production site in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or equivalent experience.
• Quality control experience in related industry preferred.
• ACI Certification preferred, or must pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months and maintain certification.
• Must be able to obtain required certifications within 1 year.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to grow into a leadership role.
• Ability to read/write basic instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs periodically.

Responsibilities

• Perform Pre-Pour inspections on product prior to pouring (reinforcing, insert and hole locations).
• Perform Post-Pour inspections on product to ensure it is ready for the customer.
• Represent the customer inside the factory.
• Test concrete and raw materials as needed.
• Lead QC meetings and follow up on corrective actions.
• Organize all documentation.
• Coordinate with production on schedule changes and errors.
• Assist in conducting QA audits.
• Train plant employees on concrete technology and QC requirements.
