We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Quality Control Technician. This role is based in Lynchburg, Virginia, reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor. The work schedule is a 12-hour day shift from 7am to 7pm on a 2-2-3 continental schedule.

Job Summary

We seek an upbeat individual to support the Quality Control Division. Responsibilities include testing and inspecting PVC and HDPE products at various production stages, recording results, and compiling reports.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform tests to ensure compliance with standards
• Record and communicate testing results
• Conduct and document production inspections
• Identify and implement quality control improvements
• Operate QC equipment such as Faro Arm, Burst Test System, Heat Reversion Oven, and Flattener
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Use PPE responsibly and maintain a safe work environment
• Work independently with good communication skills
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Must be 18 or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with QC equipment for pressure testing is a plus

Tools and Equipment

• Ability to use gauges and tools for measuring PVC and HDPE
• Must be able to operate a forklift

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with physical labor, including lifting (20-50 lbs), standing, and walking. Exposure to heat, dust, noise, and equipment hazards. Adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
