Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions in Winchester, KY is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support our plant operations across drainage systems, pipe, bridges and stormwater structures. You will contribute to quality through documentation, audits, and process checks.

Responsibilities include reading shop drawings and ASTM specs, interpreting micrometer and caliper readings, maintaining inspection records, organizing data, and coaching the team on QC requirements to assure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience; prior QC preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and ASTM specifications.
• Ability to interpret readings from micrometers, calipers, and other QC tools.
• Basic Microsoft Excel experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Quality control in an administrative capacity for the production facility.
• Read and understand shop fabrication drawings and specs and verify accuracy of documentation.
• Perform internal audits and maintain quality control inspection records.
• Maintain, organize, and report out on quality performance data.
• Resolve quality issues due to clerical/CAD errors.
• Help facilitate monthly physical inventory, verifying accuracy.
• Distribute and verify quality of Bills of Material and Fabrication packets.
• Coach and train the team in quality requirements.
