Job summary

Contech in Winchester, KY is hiring a Quality Control Technician to support the production facility. The role involves reading drawings, auditing records, and reporting quality data in collaboration with the QA team.

You will interpret measurements from micrometers and calipers, apply ASTM specs, and train staff on quality requirements while helping maintain accurate Bills of Material and fabrication packets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience; prior QC experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and ASTM specifications.
• Ability to interpret readings from Micrometers, Calipers, and other QC tools.
• Basic Microsoft Excel experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits and maintain quality control inspection records.
• Maintain, organize, and report out on quality performance data.
• Resolve quality issues due to clerical/CAD errors.
• Help facilitate monthly physical inventory, verifying accuracy.
• Distribute and verify quality of Bills of Material and Fabrication packets.
• Coach and train the team in quality requirements.
