Job summary

Montana Materials & Construction, A CRH Company, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to safely collect samples and perform tests on soils, aggregates, concrete and asphalt materials in Helena, MT, reporting results with accuracy.

This role requires knowledge of state DOT specifications, ability to use lab instruments, and driving a company vehicle. A high school diploma (GED) and 1–2 years QC experience are preferred; WAQTC certification is a plus; MSHA/OSHA safety rules apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One to two years prior QC experience preferred.
• WAQTC certification preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently collect samples for testing asphalt and concrete materials.
• Follow state DOT job specifications and established testing procedures.
• Perform sampling, testing and reporting with accurate test results.
• Maintain daily records and submit results to supervisors.
• Operate a company vehicle as required and maintain lab cleanliness.
• Adhere to MSHA & OSHA safety rules and environmental practices.
