Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials in Rosenberg, TX, is seeking a Quality Control Technician (ACI certification preferred) to ensure batching, mixing, and delivery meet project specs. The role requires travel to monitor quality standards and perform testing at our plant in Rosenberg, Texas.

Responsibilities include performing QC tests, calibrating equipment, sampling materials, and communicating results to dispatch and batch personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ACI Certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of QC experience in construction, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong organizational and math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC tests (air content, slump/workability, coarseness/sandiness, yield, set time, water-cement ratio, strength).
• Calibrate production and testing equipment.
• Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance.
• Record and communicate test results to dispatch, batch personnel, and customers.
• Troubleshoot fresh and hardened concrete to identify quality issues.
