Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Lockport Agg NY to perform quality tests in line with ASTM/AASHTO standards. The role involves data analysis, problem solving, and supporting the Material Performance Manager in quality initiatives.

You will carry out lab and field sampling, help develop control plans, and assist with plant maintenance and troubleshooting across the geographic area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• DOT Aggregate Technician Certificate or the ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Mine Safety and Health Administration Certificate (MSHA) or the ability to obtain in 6 months via Holcim training.

Responsibilities

• Carries out ongoing lab and field sampling.
• Testing to ensure material meet state, project and customer specs.
• Develops, administers and documents material control plans.
• Performs calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
• Updates QC/QA databases and provides analyses.
• Learn operations of cement, asphalt or aggregate plants.
• Provide troubleshooting guidance for internal and external customers.
• Offer technical material performance support for all plants in the area.
• Suggest plant changes to ensure conformance and consistency.
