You will apply ASTM/AASHTO standards to verify gradation, moisture, density, and binder content, supporting production, placement, and customer relations. This entry‑level position works with plant operations, the Division Lab, and project teams to ensure material conformity, maintain logs, and communicate results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
• CAPA Levels A & B certification required.
• Radiation Safety Training Certificate.
• No prior work experience required; 6 months–1 year in Quality Control Testing within HMA or Aggregates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies; prioritize safety in every task.
• Support environmental compliance and clean work areas.
• Perform routine testing of aggregates and HMA per standards.
• Tests may include gradation, moisture, density, temperature, and binder content.
• Monitor aggregate moisture, cleanliness, and uniformity with plant operations.
• Assist with sampling and Division Lab testing schedules.
• Participate in testing and evaluation of new raw material sources.
• Interact professionally with customers on job sites and provide guidance as needed.
• Conduct on-site testing to verify material conformity and assist with issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate logs of all testing at lab, plant, and job sites.
• Communicate daily HMA results to operations, project teams, and management.
• Collaborate with operations, dispatch, estimators, and project management.
• Assist in implementing quality practices for production, delivery, and placement.
• Participate in occasional lab work for training and special projects.
