Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform entry‑level testing of aggregates and HMA, ensuring conformance to ASTM, AASHTO, and internal standards. You will log results, support sampling, and assist with complex quality issues under supervision.

You will work closely with plant operations, dispatch, project management, and the division lab to ensure material quality and customer satisfaction while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience required.
• CAPA Levels A & B certification required.
• Radiation Safety Training Certificate required.
• No prior work experience required; 6–12 months in QC testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and procedures, prioritizing safety in every task.
• Perform routine testing of aggregates and HMA per ASTM/AASHTO/CDOT standards.
• Test gradation, moisture, density, temperature, and asphalt binder content.
• Maintain logs of all testing at lab, plant, and job sites.
• Communicate results daily to operations, project teams, and management.
• Assist in sampling materials and supporting lab schedules.
• Interact with customers on job sites and provide guidance as needed.
• Support quality-related best practices for production and placement.
