Job summary

PPG is seeking a Quality Control Technician for the 3rd shift at its Springdale, PA plant. You will test raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate results are provided to production and customers within required timeframes.

You will report to the Manager of Quality Services & Manufacturing Support. The position offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, with a 401(k) match, retirement savings, and paid vacation/holidays.

Qualifications

• Two years of Quality Control experience; chemical or coatings manufacturing environment preferred.
• College chemistry and math desired, but basic knowledge of mathematics and scientific principles required.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Test raw material and finish good properties (viscosity, pH, density) and determine adjustments.
• Communicate adjustments and results to other departments.
• Reduce batch samples for spray-outs and hand spray panels for defect analysis.
• Perform low-level analytical testing of intermediates and check calibration of equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all procedures and safety protocols.
