3RD SHIFT OPPORTUNITY

Purpose of Position

The Quality Control Technician will perform all duties as assigned. The main activities include daily testing procedures during the manufacturing process to ensure products comply with food safety and quality standards and written specifications. Responsibilities also include monitoring and verifying CCPs, GMPs, and SSOPs in process, inspecting incoming and finished materials, collecting data on manufactured products, and calibrating and monitoring test instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-op activities: visual inspections, ATP swabbing on contact surfaces, and allergen swabbing.
• Monitoring GMPs and providing training.
• Conducting chemical/physical tests (pH, Aw) and sensory evaluations on raw materials, semi-processed, and finished products.
• Performing inspections across all production stages.
• Communicating quality or compliance concerns with urgency.

Key Skills And Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of inspection and/or production experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
• Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret information.
• HACCP training preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
