Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Location: Warren, MI

Type: Contract

Overview
Leading consumer goods company seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician. Candidates should have at least 2 years of lab experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Complete at least 2 college chemistry courses, including qualitative and quantitative analysis; an associate’s degree in science is preferred, or equivalent lab experience in manufacturing.
• Work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
• Willing to rotate between day, afternoon, and midnight shifts.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Requirements

• Conduct tests on raw materials and finished products using lab instruments to ensure quality standards, and provide recommendations based on results.
• Use Microsoft Office and other applications to input data related to raw materials and finished goods.
• Generate Certificates of Analysis, Conformance, and Compliance.
• Accurately log data in SAP and the Quality Database, following protocols for sample retention and disposal, and maintain safety compliance.
• Maintain lab supplies, follow 5S routines, and calibrate lab instruments.
• Perform tests like titrations, fluoride determination, ICP, and particle size analysis.
• Participate in investigations of raw material and product discrepancies.

As training progresses, responsibilities include manufacturing sundry items, performing measurement system analyses, and obtaining forklift certification.
