Job summary

County Materials Family of Companies in Tomahawk, WI is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join County Ready Mix. You will perform inspections, tests, and measurements to ensure products meet standards throughout production.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work with production teams to resolve quality issues. Prior concrete industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the construction/building materials industry preferred, not required.
• Concrete plant and/or quality control experience highly desired.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings and job specifications.
• Solid math aptitude.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Preferred PCI Level I certification or the ability to obtain certifications as directed by leadership.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during production of materials and products.
• Inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production.
• Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the concrete industry.
• Regularly observes the production process, including setup, casting, stripping, and storage of product.
• Work with production to identify and resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance.
• Manage housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace.

We're hiring a Quality Control Technician to join County Ready Mix in Tomahawk, WI.

Job Summary:

A Quality Control Technician ensures products meet company and regulatory standards by performing inspections, tests, and measurements throughout the production process. They document findings, identify defects or deviations, and work with production teams to resolve issues and maintain consistent product quality. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and communication are essential to success in this role.

Experience & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Typical work hours/shifts: Monday through Friday, occasionally Saturdays. Daily working hours varies depending on work assignments and customer needs.
