Dana Safety Supply, Inc. seeks a Quality Control Technician in Somerville, TX to inspect emergency vehicles during upfitting, verify systems and components meet safety specs, and document findings. Travel to onsite installations and coordination with production teams are required.
The role demands knowledge of 12V wiring, quality control methodologies, and accurate reporting, with overtime possible during large projects. A valid license and EVT certification are preferred.
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all emergency vehicles upfitted at the facility meet the highest quality and safety standards. This role involves performing detailed inspections, tests, and evaluations on vehicles and their components throughout the upfitting process. The technician will collaborate with production teams to identify defects, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and client specifications.

Some overtime or weekend hours may be required to fulfill time sensitive projects. Strong working knowledge of 12V wiring. Able to identify electrical circuits. Strong understanding of quality control standards and methodologies. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using quality control software and tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with installation of emergency lighting. Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification preferred.
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Valid Driver's License and must maintain company's driving guidelines.
Must be proficient in software to perform the requirements of this position, as assigned.
