Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM is seeking a Maintenance/Facility Technician in San Francisco to support sampling, testing, and preventative maintenance of fueling equipment and related systems.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and accurate record-keeping, with requirements for English proficiency and the ability to perform physical tasks and basic math. A valid US driver’s license is preferred and pre-employment testing is required.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age; High school diploma or GED or 12 months related experience.
  • Prior experience in oil and gas or similar industry preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Able to read, write and speak English; read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports; must be computer literate.
  • Must pass pre-employment testing including color vision, drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical reporting and preventative maintenance at fuel storage facilities/systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections in compliance with standards and policies.
  • Monitor storage tanks and related equipment to prevent spills and contamination.
  • Log fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance records.
  • Adhere to safety policies and attendance standards.
  • Support additional duties as assigned.

Role Purpose

responsible for sampling and testing products for quality control, and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities,

What You Will Be Doing
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems
  • Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government, and industry standards
  • Monitors storage tanks and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination
  • Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state, and federal safe work policies/procedures
  • Makes required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance
  • Comply with the station’s attendance/tardiness standards
  • Assures adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For
  • Must be 18 years of age, high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve (12) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred)
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English, ability to read and understand Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical reports, must be computer literate
  • Must be able to perform preventative maintenance of equipment to include minor pump and valve repairs, pump oil changes, pump greasing and miscellaneous maintenance work.
  • Must pass all pre-employment testing including a color vision test, drug test, background check and obtain US Customs seal
  • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license
  • Able to handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbs
