Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, hydrant pits and related systems. You will follow safety policies, maintain records, and support Gauger tasks as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 70 lbs, and the flexibility to work variable shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs continuously.
  • Must have a current driver’s license with no violations in 5 years.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose problems using test equipment, specs, and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, valves, vessels, hydrant pits, gauges, switches, motors, lights, heaters, meters, hoses, etc.
  • Follow safety policies and maintain maintenance records.
  • Support Gauger position as necessary and comply with attendance policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Purpose

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain related components such as pumps, valves, vessels, hydrant pits, gauges, switches, motors, lights, heaters, meters, hoses, etc.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Diagnose problems using test equipment, statistics, equipment history, manufacturer specs, industry related standards and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain related components such as pumps, valves, vessels, hydrant pits, gauges, switches, motors, lights, heaters, meters, hoses, etc.
  • Follow company and departmental safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records relating to maintenance.
  • Support Gauger position as necessary.
  • Comply with the station’s attendance policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests, including a drug test.
  • Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously.
  • Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must have a current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain the security level required for this position.
  • Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is primarily outdoors.
