Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee daily workflow, inspect and repair fueling systems, engines, and related mechanical systems at our Austin locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, log entries, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid US driver’s license, and the ability to pass background, drug, and physical tests. A background in oil/gas or CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• 12 months related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including a physical, color vision, audio, and drug tests.
• Handle fueling carts and hoses; able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must pass background check and obtain US Customs seal.
• Prior experience in Oil & Gas industry or CDL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily workflow for maintenance tasks on fueling equipment.
• Inspect and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and/or repairs and keep logs and data entry up to date.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment.
• Other duties as assigned and maintain safe work environment.

Role Purpose

Responsible for directing daily workflow, reviewing completed work orders, and inspecting Mechanics work. Assists in instructing mechanics on work procedures. Inspecting and identifying defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems and preforms preventive maintenance and/or repairs. This role requires you to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures.

What You Will Be Doing

• Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems
• Monitors storage tanks and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination.
• Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards
• Makes required log entries QC, maintenance and completes required documentation and performs data entry
• Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment
• Other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve (12) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license
• Must pass all pre-employment testing including a physical, color vision test, audio test, and drug test
• Handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require lifting and move up to 70lbs
• Must pass background check and obtain US Customs seal
• Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred)
