Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking a Quality Control Technician to maintain fuel farm/storage and test fuels/additives, ensuring product quality and reliability. You will collect and analyze data, generate reports, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while collaborating with engineers and operations staff.

Strong English communication, a high school diploma or GED, and willingness to work varied shifts including weekends are required.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid US driver\'s license.
  • Pass pre-employment testing including a drug screen, FBI background, and employment history.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • High School Diploma or GED with 1–3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Consults with manufacturer or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards and analysis fuels/additives to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Selects and tests fuel/additive products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and/or chemical characteristics.
  • Records test data, following statistical quality control procedures.
  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
  • Conducts work in a safe and environmentally conscious fashion by adhering to all company, industry, local, state and federal safety and environmental regulations and procedures.

Role Purpose

The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of fuel farm/storage and related equipment. You will be required to test and inspect fuels and additive products, compile and evaluate statistical data to evaluate and assure quality and reliability of products, and perform hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment maintenance of fuel farm/storage and related equipment.

What You Will Be Doing

What We Are Looking For

  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), and one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
