Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM is seeking a Quality Control Technician to maintain fuel storage facilities, test fuels, and evaluate quality data. You will perform hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance while ensuring safety policies and regulatory compliance are followed.

The role requires math skills, English proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED or at least 12 months related experience, with CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior CDL or oil and gas industry experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math and read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical reports.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including color vision, drug test, and background check.

Role Purpose

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the maintenance of fuel farm/storage and related equipment, required to test and inspect fuels and additive products, compile and evaluate statistical data to evaluate and assure quality and reliability of products, and perform hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment maintenance of fuel farm/storage and related equipment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems
• Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government, and industry standards
• Monitors storage tanks and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination
• Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state, and federal safe work policies/procedures
• Makes required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance
• Comply with the station’s attendance/tardiness standards
• Assures adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

• Must be 18 years of age, high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve (12) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred)
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English, ability to read and understand Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical reports, must be computer literate
• Must be able to perform preventative maintenance of equipment to include minor pump and valve repairs, pump oil changes, pump greasing and miscellaneous maintenance work.
• Must pass all pre-employment testing including a color vision test, drug test, background check and obtain US Customs seal
• Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license
• Able to handle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbs
