What You'll Do:
  1. Ensure Quality Control: Conduct routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control of products at the point of production, shipping, and upon arrival at the job site. Adhere to testing methods, including ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards.
  2. Document and Report Information: Complete all required reports accurately and timely, interpret, document, and store results. Communicate test results promptly to supervisors and record in databases.
  3. Maintain Lab Standards: Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in the lab. Troubleshoot issues, review product specifications, and periodically calibrate and maintain testing equipment.
  4. Monitor Stockpile: Inspect stockpiles, material sources, and truckloads at plant sites. Monitor daily construction of stockpiles to prevent segregation and contamination. Notify management immediately if contamination is found.
  5. Inspect Equipment and Structures: Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations, maximizing production and minimizing interruptions.
  6. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

  • Experience: Prior training or experience in materials testing preferred. Knowledge of aggregate production principles is preferred.
  • Safety Knowledge: Awareness of construction and mining site hazards.
  • Math Skills: Good math skills for simple to moderately complex calculations.
  • Technology Skills: Proficiency in using computerized equipment, Microsoft Office, Google, Oracle, and relevant software.
