US Aggregates is seeking a Quality Control Technician to inspect samples and conduct routine and special laboratory testing on construction aggregates. You will verify results, maintain data records, and help troubleshoot field and jobsite issues to ensure product quality and consistency.
Key duties include collecting samples from stockpiles, performing mandated INDOT tests, and maintaining certifications while upholding safety and cleanliness in the lab and work areas.
The Quality Control Technician will inspect, sample, and conduct routine and special laboratory testing on construction aggregate materials according to the appropriate standard test method(s). Technician will perform tests to ensure the quality and consistency at the point of production and shipping. The individual will be expected to perform troubleshooting and recommend corrective action for issues arising on field and jobsite locations. The QC Technician will verify test results with outside testing agencies and maintain accurate and timely records on test data, product quality, and defective materials.
Gather quality samples from large aggregate stockpiles
Perform all INDOT required and aggregate quality testing while maintaining all required paperwork and computer files
Must be current on all INDOT certifications
Maintain proper order and cleanliness in the laboratory, stairs, and catwalks
Perform other duties as assigned
