Job Summary:
The Quality Control (QC) Technician is an entry level position that supports daily operations of the Quality Control department within the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role involves routine activities that contribute to maintaining product quality and compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a regulated setting. Flexibility with scheduling, including early or late shifts and occasional weekend work, is required.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform environmental monitoring (EM) of classified cleanrooms, including surface and air sampling, in accordance with established SOPs and schedules. • Conduct water sampling from designated system points, following aseptic and GMP procedures. • Manage the incubation and tracking of microbiological samples, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and reporting. • Conduct incoming inspections of materials and components, verifying conformance to specifications and documentation requirements. • Maintain a clean, organized, and GMP-compliant laboratory environment, including routine cleaning of equipment and work spaces. • Ensures regular attendance. • Accurately document all work in accordance with GMP (Good Documentation Practices). • Follows all company policies and execute all job requirements safely. • Oversees quality inspection areas on a daily basis with respect to equipment use and maintenance, house-keeping, supplies and organization. • Participate in QC investigations, deviations, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Trains Production Personnel regarding process testing when required. • Assists with the writing, reviewing and revising of procedures, work instructions and forms. • Collects and reports data in all areas of responsibility as required. • Performs all other duties as assigned.Essential Qualifications:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field preferred. • 1 to 2 years of experience within a laboratory or manufacturing environment preferred. • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Proficient PC skills in a windows environment, Microsoft Word and Excel. • Working knowledge ofUSP, CFR,ISO, FDA, GMP, and OSHA standards preferred. • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.ADA Requirements:
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach or otherwise move frequently. • Occasional repetitive motion and grasping. • Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently. • Typically sits, grasps items or performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer • Must be able to be fully garbed for long periods of time. • This position operates in a laboratory setting with exposure to standard laboratory hazards.
