Job summary

Iron Oak Energy Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Tech at our Poteet, TX plant in the Greater San Antonio Area. You will perform routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials and finished products to ensure sand quality aligns with specifications.

You will maintain lab records, generate shift reports, and communicate with production and management to adjust outputs while upholding safety, PPE and API standards in a fast-paced mining environment.

Qualifications

• One year of sand plant production experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and spoken communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and general computer use.
• Good math skills for basic to moderately complex calculations.
• Aptitude to learn new methods and instrumentation processes.
• Awareness of mining and manufacturing hazards.
• Willingness and ability to wear respirator and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection of sand product per SOP.
• Observe, report and document non-conformities to supervisor.
• Organize and store chemicals and testing materials safely.
• Track and report materials usage.
• Maintain clean workspace and proper waste disposal.
• Enforce lab safety rules; follow API standards and procedures.
• Wear PPE at all times.
