Job summary

Iron Oak Energy Solutions in Carrizo Springs, Texas, is seeking a Quality Control Tech to perform routine testing of in-process, raw, and finished materials at the mine site to ensure product quality.

The role maintains the lab database, generates shift reports, and collaborates with production and plant management to adjust output while complying with product standards. On-site, full-time position with safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• One (1) year prior experience with sand plant production preferred, but not required.
• Exceptional communication, both written and oral, and interpersonal abilities; organization and attention to detail
• Proficient ability to use a computer and standard Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook email)
• Must possess good math skills and demonstrate the ability to perform simple to moderately complex arithmetic calculations
• Aptitude to learn new methods and new instrumentation processes
• Must display knowledge and awareness of mining and manufacturing site hazards
• Must be able to wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection of sand product by executing standard testing protocols according to SOP.
• Make observations and interpret findings; report any errors and non-conformities to supervisor immediately.
• Organize and store all chemical substances and testing materials according to safety instructions.
• Track and report all materials used.
• Maintain a clean workspace by properly disposing of trash/waste and upholding standard housekeeping procedures.
• Communicate and enforce laboratory safety rules; follow API standards and procedures.
• Must always wear proper PPE.
