Job summary

Diamondback America seeks a Quality Control Technician I to support growing production in Florida. You will focus on reducing costs, improving manufacturability and quality while helping shorten cycle times.

The role requires at least 1 year in quality and MS Office proficiency to prepare inspection reports and spreadsheets. You will perform inspections, interpret drawings, and report results daily on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working in quality.
• At least 1 year of experience utilizing MS Office to prepare spreadsheets and inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection/verification on machined parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
• First Article inspection, in process, and final inspection of parts and materials for workmanship, and conformance to specifications and drawings.
• Record and report inspection process and results.
• Communicate with machine operators & supervisors to resolve inspection, engineering, and manufacturing challenges.
• Help to determine inspection procedures to ensure complete verification of specifications and dimensions.
• Interpret blueprints and all relevant specification sheets necessary to verify conformity.
• Obtain necessary fixtures, gauges, and indicators to check machine parts for compliance with specifications and prescribed tolerances.
• Other duties as assigned

JOB TITLE: Quality Control Technician I

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Control Technician supports our expanding production. A focus on reducing cost, improving manufacturability, quality, and decreasing cycle times.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1 year of experience working in quality
• At least 1 year of experience utilizing MS Office to prepare spreadsheets and inspection reports

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Functional understanding of ISO9001/AS9100
• Enthusiastic, energetic, sense of urgency, with a track record of setting goals and achieving them
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to utilize other inspection equipment such as micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, dial calipers, and CMMs

CORE DUTIES

• Perform precision inspection/verification on machined parts, components, assemblies, and materials

HOURS

• 1st shift position
• Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
