Job summary

Sensient Technologies Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Tech I for Harbor Beach, MI. The role performs tests on raw materials and finished products, supports calibration and troubleshooting of lab instruments, and helps ensure high-quality production during the night shift.

The candidate will document results and assist with sensory panels and process improvements. Ideal candidates have a detail-oriented mindset, basic lab exposure, and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
• Interest or background in laboratory work, especially in food, chemical, or microbiological testing.
• Willingness to follow established procedures and troubleshoot simple equipment issues.
• Ability to stay organized while juggling multiple testing responsibilities.
• Clear documentation and communication with team and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests on raw materials and finished products (texture, moisture, pH, salt, acidity).
• Perform microbiological analyses such as plate counts and swabbing procedures.
• Support calibration and upkeep of lab instruments.
• Document and interpret results with accurate records.
• Assist with material reviews for quality compliance and inventory status.
• Help organize sensory panels to evaluate product characteristics.
• Collaborate with team to improve processes and maintain standards.
