Job summary

Ecolab is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead our Quality Control team in a manufacturing environment. You will oversee inspection and testing to ensure ISO 9001 compliance, coach eight technicians and one principal chemist, and drive safety and continuous improvement.

This on-site, first-shift role offers collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing, opportunities for professional growth, and a culture focused on quality, accountability, and safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Quality Management, or related technical field.
  • Five years of Quality Control experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Three years of supervisory or leadership experience overseeing technical or laboratory personnel.
  • Two years of SAP experience, including entering laboratory results and processing material status movements.
  • Experience with inspection tools, measurement techniques, and quality management systems.
  • Ability to support an on-site work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Quality Control inspectors, technicians, and laboratory personnel, including scheduling, coaching, performance management, and career development.
  • Develop and deliver training programs focused on inspection methods, measurement techniques, ISO 9001 requirements, equipment operation, laboratory safety practices, chemical handling, and emergency response procedures.
  • Mentor team members to strengthen technical capabilities and reinforce safe work practices.
  • Oversee inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Review, approve, and maintain inspection reports, laboratory results, and nonconformance documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of quality records and testing activities.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve laboratory workflows, reduce testing cycle times, and enhance testing accuracy and reliability.
  • Evaluate and implement new inspection tools, testing methods, technologies, and quality practices to optimize operations.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other functional teams to drive process improvements and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Support root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems.
  • Support internal audits and participate in external customer and certification audits.
  • Promote and enforce all safety regulations, policies, and procedures within the laboratory environment.
  • Conduct routine safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective action follow-up activities.

Position Details (Location & Work Schedule):
  • Full-time position
  • On-site manufacturing environment
  • Monday through Friday
  • First Shift schedule: 6:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Position supervises a team of eight technicians and one principal chemist
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
  • Five years of Quality Control experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Three years of supervisory or leadership experience overseeing technical or laboratory personnel.
  • Two years of SAP experience, including entering laboratory results and processing material status movements.
  • Experience with inspection tools, measurement techniques, and quality management systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to support an on-site work schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading laboratory operations and testing programs.
  • Audit experience supporting internal, customer, and third-party certification audits.
  • Experience implementing CAPA programs and quality system improvements.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience.
  • Proficiency with quality reporting and data analysis tools.
Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $85,900.00 - $128,900.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
