Job summary

H&MV Engineering is seeking an Electrical Quality Supervisor to oversee QA on US projects, set up ITPs, conduct site audits, and lead quality kickoff meetings. You will train delivery teams and subcontractors on H&MV quality processes while supporting project teams on all quality matters.

You will ensure drawings, submittals, photos, and documentation are current, drive NCRs where needed, and promote professional conduct and effective communication across project teams.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical installation standards and workmanship requirements.
• Knowledge of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation requirements.
• Capability to inspect installations and identify defects, snags, and non-conformances.
• Strong IT capabilities.
• Monitor compliance with H&MV procedures, quality guides, and project specifications.
• Good reporting skills - escalate quality concerns to the Quality Control Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct quality processes across projects.
• Conduct routine site inspections, quality audits, and ITP audits.
• Lead quality input at project kick-off, weekly, and monthly meetings.
• Implement and audit ITPs, ensuring trackers are established, maintained, and closed out.
• Snag subcontractor works and manage issues via ACC.
• Raise and manage NCRs where works do not meet specifications.
• Ensure drawings, submittals, site photos, and documentation are current and stored.
• Verify construction works meet specifications and quality standards.
• Deliver Quality Toolbox Talks and ensure procedures are followed.
• Monitor as-built information, SSD logging, lessons learned, and First of Kind processes.
• Escalate unresolved quality issues to management.
• Assist in development/review of technical and IMS documentation.

About this role:

As an Electrical Quality Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing projects in the US, setting up ITP's, carrying out site Audits and ITP audits on projects as well as quality kick of meetings, Training project delivery teams and sub-contractors on H&MV';s quality processes. Provide ongoing support to project teams and subcontractors on all quality-related matters, while promoting professional conduct and effective communication across all project teams.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct Engage with Project Engineers, Site Managers, and Supervisors to ensure quality processes are followed.
• Conduct routine site inspections, quality audits, and ITP audits.
• Lead quality input at project kick-off, weekly, and monthly meetings.
• Implement and audit ITPs, ensuring trackers are established, maintained, and closed out.
• Snag subcontractor works and manages issues via ACC.
• Raise and manage NCRs where works do not meet specifications.
• Ensure drawings, material submittals, site photos, and documentation are current, approved, and correctly managed in ACC/SharePoint.
• Verify that construction works meet specifications and the highest quality standards.
• Ensure Quality Toolbox Talks are delivered, and H&MV procedures are followed.
• Monitor as-built information, SSD logging, lessons learned, and First of Kind process.
• Escalate unresolved quality issues to management.
• Assist in the development and review of technical and IMS documentation.

Skills / Requirements:

• Strong understanding of electrical installation standards and workmanship requirements.
• Knowledge of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation requirements.
• Capability to inspect installations and identify defects, snags, and non-conformances.
• Strong IT capabilities.
• Monitor compliance with H&MV procedures, quality guides, and project specifications.
• Good communication skills -Lead and support project kick-off meetings from a quality perspective
• Have previous experience in substation construction activities.
• Good reporting skills - Escalate and report quality concerns to the Quality Control Manager.
