Job description

Quality Control Supervisor | High-Voltage Substations | Dallas | 60% Travel (Flexible)

We're hiring a Quality Control Supervisor for a global leader in high-voltage electrical engineering. The role sits in the Quality team and reports to the Group Quality Control Manager.

Must-have: hands-on HV & MV substation construction experience.

This role is built around it.

Who we are

A global leader in high-voltage electrical engineering, powering the transition to a sustainable future. We work across renewable energy, data centres and complex utility projects, and we're driven by continuous improvement and innovation. Safety, collaboration and respect shape how we work, lead and grow. We're not here to keep up. We're here to lead.

The role

As Electrical Quality Supervisor, you'll oversee quality on HV projects: setting up ITPs, carrying out site and ITP audits, leading quality input at kick-off meetings, and training project teams and subcontractors on the company's quality processes. You'll be the go-to quality support for project teams and subcontractors, promoting professional conduct and clear communication throughout.

What you'll do
  • Work with Project Engineers, Site Managers and Supervisors to make sure quality processes are followed
  • Carry out routine site inspections, quality audits and ITP audits
  • Lead quality input at project kick-off, weekly and monthly meetings
  • Implement and audit ITPs, keeping trackers established, maintained and closed out
  • Snag subcontractor works and manage issues via ACC
  • Raise and manage NCRs where works don't meet specification
  • Keep drawings, material submittals, site photos and documentation current, approved and properly managed in ACC/SharePoint
  • Verify construction works meet specifications and the highest quality standards
  • Make sure Quality Toolbox Talks are delivered and company procedures are followed
  • Monitor as-built information, SSD logging, lessons learned and the First of Kind process
  • Escalate unresolved quality issues to management
  • Help develop and review technical and IMS documentation
What you'll bring
  • Previous experience in HV & MV substation construction
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation standards and workmanship requirements
  • Solid understanding of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation
  • The ability to inspect installations and identify defects, snags and non-conformances
  • Good communication and reporting skills, including leading kick-off meetings and escalating concerns to the Quality Control Manager

The company invests in its people and gives them room to develop, lead and shape the future of energy. We value passion, motivation and problem-solving, and we believe diverse perspectives lead to better outcomes. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
