Qualifications

  • Experience in wood, carpet, vinyl or tile flooring.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Good written communication skills, time management, professional dress, speech, and behavior required.
  • Verbal fluency in English; Spanish is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Works with subcontractors to maintain high quality job standards.
  • Conducts field audits and job site/safety inspections.
  • Makes repairs onsite as necessary.
  • Addresses customer concerns and issues, escalating them as necessary for job completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Responds to builder/post-sale warranty issues, repairs, and material or quality issues.
  • Communicates with installers to ensure clear understanding of job specifications and installation requirements.
  • Works with account representatives to ensure complete and proper information for work assignments.
  • Occasional support of the Hilton Head Location may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Quality Control Specialist will build and maintain good working relationships with our building contractors and field supervisors, communicate concerns and issues effectively with installers and ensure that we provide the highest quality of service to our new home builder clients while controlling costs. He or she works with subcontractors to maintain high quality job standards, conduct field audits and job site/safety inspections. He/She will be responsible for completing minor repairs on occasion. This role works with mobile technology such as a company-owned iPad and iPhone for reporting and communication purposes.Candidates for this position must have previous experience in wood, carpet, vinyl or tile flooring. He or she must have strong interpersonal skills and a talent for working with variety of personalities. Good written communication skills, time management, professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position. Verbal fluency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred, but is not required. Local travel is required in this position, but very little-to-no overnight travel should be expected. The candidate must have reliable transportation, as Quality Control Specialists are required to drive their own vehicle for work.
