Job Description
- Shipping and purchasing needs: Sample receipt and shipment - including documentation, packaging, and labeling of samples for shipment both domestically and internationally.
- Purchasing/ordering of lab supplies in support of laboratory activities including chemicals, reagents, glassware, etc.
- Safety Compliance Oversee the laboratory HSE program including emergency response, periodic audits, safety training, hazard communication, ergonomics, waste disposal, and addressing any identified safety or environmental issues.
- Support Lean/OpEx activities within the laboratory space such as 5S organization, inventories, and fit and finish assessments
- Actively collaborates with AQCO teams (Analytical and Laboratory Informatics, Forensics, etc.) to provide inventory, lab organization, and shipping and purchasing support.
- Ensure compliance with applicable global standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Support lab activities in support of safety and inspection readiness initiatives
- Work with AQCO to ensure appropriate inventory levels of lab supplies are maintained and order additional supplies as needed to maintain laboratory activities
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in the field of Chemistry, Biology or related field, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in a related major)
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Skills/ Preferences
- Fundamental knowledge of cGMP/GLP compliance requirements
- Import/Export knowledge and understanding of temperature storage and shipment requirements
- Understanding of various country requirements for shipping
- Experience in Quality Control Laboratories and knowledge of analytical testing practices
- Capable of evaluating safety/quality compliance and supporting efforts to perform needed activities.
Additional Information
Position is Monday- Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm. Overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Indianapolis, IN are encouraged to apply.
