Position: Quality Control Sampling Technician (QC Tech)

Duration: Contract through EOY 2025, possibility to extend beyond that

Location: Concord, NC

Start: ASAP

Schedule:

• 8AM-5PM during training/ramp-up, which takes 2-3 months
• Switch to 12-hour day or night shifts after training
• Schedule: 2-2-3 (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, etc.)
• Contractors will work 36 hours one week, 48 the next, etc.
• Once on 12-hour shifts, hours are typically 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM

Position Description:

The QC Sampling Technician will support Parenteral Operations by performing environmental monitoring of classified manufacturing areas and utility sampling within the Parenteral Operations and QC Laboratory buildings. The technician will assist in routine environmental monitoring and utility sampling, requiring understanding of aseptic techniques and contamination prevention.

• Adhere to all cGMP procedures, Quality Systems, and Good Documentation Practices.
• Perform environmental monitoring in manufacturing areas.
• Conduct utility sampling and analysis within Parenteral Operations and QC Laboratory buildings.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Assist in writing Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Follow all safety standards and promote safety compliance.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a GMP microbiology laboratory.

Must haves:

• QC or similar lab experience involving sampling and lab technician duties.

Nice to haves:

• Environmental Monitoring (EM) experience
• Isolator experience
• Experience with Water and PCA testing
• MODA-EM experience
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements and regulatory compliance
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a lab environment with PPE and gowning requirements
