Job Overview

District Photo Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Quality Control / Quality Assurance Auditor in our dynamic production facility. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our production processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the print production workflow.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any deviations from quality standards and standard operating procedures across all stages and components of a production line.
  3. Verify that each process within a line is following Standard Operating Procedure, materials handling, and producing the best quality possible.
  4. Monitor and correct behaviors that are contrary to SOP.
  5. Conduct regular inspections of incoming materials.
  6. Verify raw materials are to specifications and ready to be used in order assembly.
  7. Collaborate with production teams to continuously improve quality metrics and reduce defects.
  8. Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  9. Evaluate and plot device control tests of various print and process devices.
  10. Verify line component and final product is being produced within acceptable parameters and guidelines.
  11. Complete all tasks in a timely, organized, and professional manner.
  12. Report, relay data and explain findings to Quality Supervisor, Production Supervisors, Shift Managers, and Production Managers.
  13. Able to be a self-starter, work independently, and meet strict deadlines.
  14. Ability to solve problems and present new ideas creatively.
  15. Able to perform evaluations on production associates in a fair and impartial manner.
  16. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  17. Act as a liaison between production teams, management, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment on quality standards and training initiatives.
  18. Communicate effectively with team members to provide feedback, guidance, and support.
  19. Foster a culture of quality consciousness, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
  20. General:
  21. Follow all plant safety rules, comply with established safety policies and procedures.
  22. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Computer competency using Windows based programs.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  3. Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals.
  4. Ability to identify problems, patterns and make the required corrections as well as reporting information as required.
  5. Good basic math skills.
  6. Must have a good eye for color and be able to pass a color blindness test.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Able to work effectively under strict deadlines.
  9. Reliable.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  2. Proven experience in quality assurance and training in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Knowledge of printing technologies, Print on Demand industry or related manufacturing sectors is ideal.
  4. Experience with nonconformance documenting, root cause and corrective action analysis.
  5. Proficient in the use of quality management tools and software.

Working Conditions

  1. Significant walking, bending, standing.
  2. Physical activities including but not limited to reaching, pulling, pushing, gripping, grabbing, and must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  3. Prolonged periods standing/walking in a production environment.
  4. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Schedule

  1. Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours to accommodate training needs across multiple shifts.
