Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad spectrum of salaries across the country. The actual salary will be determined by factors such as role scope, complexity, location, candidate skills, education, training, credentials, experience, and other employment conditions. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentives as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.

What Is the Opportunity?

At Travelers, our Enterprise Operations teams deliver exceptional customer and agent experiences, drive revenue and underwriting results, and foster a culture of innovation and efficiency. The Premium Audit group conducts audits on property & casualty commercial lines policies to determine appropriate classifications, exposures, and premiums, in accordance with regulations. As a Sr Premium Auditor Associate, you will conduct audits of increasing complexity with minimal oversight, either virtually or in person.

This position is based 100% remotely, with a combination of mobile and home office work. It supports the California territory, working core hours aligned with the Pacific Time Zone.

What Will You Do?
  • Conduct audits of moderately complex Commercial Lines policies (e.g., Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Auto) through interviews, reviews, and verification of business operations to determine proper classifications. Review financial records, including payroll, tax returns, and ledgers, to determine final exposures.
  • Communicate audit findings to customers, agents/brokers, and underwriters to ensure understanding of premium exposure changes.
  • Develop relationships with customers, agents/brokers, underwriters, and internal partners.
  • Stay informed on premium auditing updates through internal and external resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  • At least two years of Premium Audit experience across various property and casualty commercial lines.
  • Completion of APA 91 and 92.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and partners.
  • Strong analytical skills for conducting efficient audits.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
What is a Must Have?
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of Premium Audit or related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
