Job summary

JVS of Metrowest seeks a Quality Control Production Assistant to support vocational rehabilitation programs by ensuring training and production meet quality, safety, and compliance standards in a workshop setting.

You will inspect materials and outputs, develop QC procedures, assist in time studies, collaborate with production teams, and help prepare training environments while supporting payroll accuracy and detailed reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in quality control, manufacturing, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of quality control or production assistant experience in a manufacturing, rehabilitation, or vocational setting; IDD population preferred.
• Knowledge of inspection standards and QC/QA procedures.
• Proficiency with MS Office and relevant QC software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards for training and production environments.
• Perform routine inspections, tests, and quality checks on training materials, tools, and production outputs to ensure they meet specifications.
• Identify and document product or training material quality issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the production team and external customers to address quality concerns and improve processes.
• Assist in preparing training materials, equipment, and environments to meet vocational rehabilitation standards.
• Complete time studies based on the Federal 14C DOL standards.
• Engage business partners for contract work for the production in the workshop.
• Monitor the payroll on a daily basis to ensure accuracy of input, specifically where an error may occur such as a job code.
• Complete detailed reports and performance records to support quality assurance and program evaluation.
