Job summary

Aptar is seeking a Quality Control Technician (Operator) for on-site work at our McHenry, IL facility. This role monitors two high-speed production areas, performs quality inspections, and ensures product safety through finished goods testing.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift 50 lbs, strong English communication, basic math/PC skills, and a willingness to certify in two production areas within six months. SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must read, write and speak English to communicate quality and production issues.
• Basic math and PC skills required.
• Must complete orientation and certify in two production areas within six months (quality inspection).
• Previous SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains a safe work environment at all times.
• Monitors high-speed production machines to ensure quality in two production areas.
• Performs quality checks visually and with inspection gauges.
• Performs testing of assembled product to ensure performance requirements.
• Keeps records using production forms and PC.
• Loads tubing and prepares boxes to meet production demands.
• Performs traceability and lot control functions with a handheld scanner.
