Job summary

Witt/Kieffer is seeking an RN Quality Assurance Nurse for a skilled nursing facility in South Carolina. The role leads the facility’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, focusing on regulatory compliance and clinical performance improvement to promote resident safety and quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, with experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care, knowledge of QA/QAPI, CMS regulations, and data-driven improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered RN license in this state.
  • Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care preferred.
  • Knowledge of QA and QAPI programs.
  • Strong understanding of CMS regulations and state survey processes.
  • Experience with clinical audits, data tracking, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the facility’s QAPI program.
  • Monitor, track, and trend clinical quality indicators (falls, pressure injuries, infections, rehospitalizations, etc.).
  • Conduct routine chart audits and compliance reviews.
  • Analyze data and develop corrective action plans.
  • Prepare for and participate in state and federal surveys.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to drive performance improvement.
  • Provide education and coaching to clinical staff on quality initiatives.
