Job summary

Technology Service Corporation in Huntsville, AL seeks a Quality Control Mechanical Inspector focused on military radar and communications hardware. You will inspect incoming metalwork and assemblies, log results, and prepare nonconformances, while supporting first piece and first article inspections per AS9102 and internal audits.

Ideal candidates have CMM experience, GD&T knowledge, and familiarity with PLM/PDM and Costpoint ERP within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field with 5 years of mechanical inspection experience, or 7 years in manufacturing.
• Experience reading complex engineering drawings.
• ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems strongly preferred.
• Experience with PLM/PDM and Costpoint ERP for quality data entry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming inspection of mechanical assemblies and components.
• Log inspection results to track metrics.
• Document and process nonconforming parts for containment and disposition.
• Support first piece and first article inspection per AS9102 and source inspections.
• Create material return notices to initiate supplier returns.
• Conduct internal quality audits.
